As one of Scotland’s most sustainable office buildings, the space embodies Virgin Money’s forward-thinking ethos, promoting flexibility and sustainability. Spanning three floors, the project includes meeting rooms, reception areas, open-plan offices, and boardrooms, designed to support a variety of activities and foster collaboration.
Sustainability was central to the project, targeting an EPC rating of A and a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard. The furniture procurement strategy prioritised longevity by reusing existing pieces and significantly reducing carbon emissions. Locally sourced materials and furniture further minimised the project’s environmental impact.
Silent Gliss' contribution included motorised and chain-operated roller blinds, as well as electric curtain tracks. All featuring Colorama 1 and Versascreen fabrics. These systems enhance energy efficiency by managing solar gain, improving comfort, and adding a sleek, modern aesthetic. The fabrics provide excellent light diffusion and thermal regulation, aligning seamlessly with the HQ’s sustainability objectives.
